How I Help
Finding a Way Forward
Many of the people I work with are carrying more than they let others see.
Some are struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, sleep difficulties, relationship stress, or the weight of responsibilities that never seem to let up. Others have reached a point where they feel stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about their next steps.
Therapy provides an opportunity to better understand what's happening, identify patterns that are no longer serving you, and develop practical strategies for moving forward. My approach is collaborative, direct, and grounded in evidence-based practices while remaining focused on your unique goals and experiences.
Whether you're navigating a difficult season or have been carrying the same burdens for years, meaningful change is possible.

Areas of Focus
Anxiety & Stress
Persistent worry, overthinking, burnout, and difficulty slowing down can take a toll on every area of life. Therapy can help you better understand your stress response and develop practical strategies for managing it.
Depression & Feeling Stuck
Depression often involves more than sadness. It can show up as low motivation, isolation, irritability, hopelessness, or feeling disconnected from life. Therapy can help you regain momentum and reconnect with what matters most.
Trauma & PTSD
Traumatic experiences can continue to affect how we think, feel, and respond long after the event has passed. Therapy can help process these experiences and reduce their impact on daily life.
Sleep Difficulties
Poor sleep can affect mood, concentration, relationships, and overall well-being. Whether you're experiencing insomnia, racing thoughts, nightmares, or inconsistent sleep patterns, therapy can help identify contributing factors and improve sleep quality.
Anger & Irritability
Anger is often a signal that something important needs attention. Therapy can help you better understand what's driving your reactions, improve emotional regulation, and respond more effectively to difficult situations.
Men's Mental Health
Many men are taught to carry their burdens alone. Therapy provides a space to speak openly, build practical coping skills, and address challenges without judgment.
Veterans & First Responders
Military service and helping professions often involve unique stressors and responsibilities. Drawing from both professional and personal experience, I understand many of the challenges these communities face.
Relationships & Communication
Healthy relationships require communication, trust, and boundaries. Therapy can help improve communication patterns, navigate conflict, and strengthen connections with others.
My Approach
No two people are exactly alike, and therapy should reflect that. My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your goals. Depending on your needs, treatment may incorporate a variety of evidence-based approaches designed to increase self-awareness, build effective coping skills, improve relationships, and create meaningful change.
Building Awareness
Lasting change often begins with awareness. Through mindfulness-based strategies and increased self-awareness, therapy can help you better recognize patterns in your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical responses. Developing awareness creates the foundation for making intentional choices rather than reacting automatically.
Changing Unhelpful Patterns
Our thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs often influence how we experience the world. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop more effective ways of thinking, responding, and coping.
Taking Meaningful Action
Many people know what they want to do but struggle to take the next step. Behavioral activation focuses on taking purposeful action, even when motivation is low. Together, we identify meaningful changes that help build momentum, increase confidence, and reconnect you with the things that matter most.
Strengthening Relationships
Relationships play a significant role in our well-being. Therapy can help improve communication, establish healthier boundaries, navigate conflict, and strengthen connections with partners, family members, friends, and colleagues.
Additional Therapeutic Tools
Depending on your goals, therapy may also incorporate guided imagery and clinical hypnosis techniques. These approaches use focused attention, relaxation, and visualization exercises that can support emotional regulation, stress reduction, and personal growth.
Processing Difficult Experiences
Past experiences can continue to affect how we think, feel, and respond in the present. When appropriate, therapy may incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and other trauma-focused approaches to help process difficult experiences and reduce their impact on daily life.
